Grizzly Bear with a purpose.................

........................ but thankfully not with an attitude towards human beings. We were still enjoying the privilege of seeing grizzly bears in the absolute wilderness of British Columbia, Canada.

This young grizzly popped out of the bushes about 70ft away from me and started to move purposefully towards us. Its much bigger mother emerged a few moments later and steered it off to the other side of the rough track and back off into the bushes. An amazing experience. Although we'd now had a lot of pretty close quarter bear sightings at no time were we complacent and we fully respected their power, and authority in their own surroundings. Even so its still pretty intimidating watching them move closer and trying to take a steady photograph!
