Bamse

Had fellow Blipper and Dad Nessie Views down for the weekend and we went down to the harbour to take some photos of the statue of Bamse but we got more than we bargained for as a girl decided she wanted to jump off the bridge in the background. In fact, you can just make her out beside the lampost although I didn't spot her when I took the blip. It wasn't the best blip I took today but the story behind it is.

I did then notice her and we realised that she was contemplating jumping so we went to try and stop her. It was really quite a scary and moving time. The police were soon there and we moved away and watched from where I took the original photo, hoping she wouldn't jump. After about 20 minutes the police grabbed her , thankfully successfully, and she didn't end up in the harbour.

I guess for us the story sort of ended there but I know for her it hasn't. Still thinking about her now and what drove her to sit precariously on the edge, wanting her life to end. I hope she can get through her problems and I'm thankful for all the good things in my life.
