Cake? Yes, but...
... you might want to mix it with water, rather than eat it.
Because it's soap.
Karmela Botanica, one of the craft vendors at the Bellingham Farmers Market, has an amazing array of soaps, lotions, lip balms, candles, and other delights. This one caught my eye today, and I had to stop and ask "How do you serve it?" "In slices!" was the reply.
A close contender for my blip spot today was this $5 (3.14 GBP, 3.6 Euros) bargain -- beautiful, seasonal, and offering both flowers and vegetable in one compact unit.
(Here are a few more photos -- the Karmela Botanica booth with the cake in the midst of the other goods, one of the many kinds of apples grown locally that are available at this time of year, and some gorgeous grapes, also grown locally, despite our less-than-stellar climate!)
