Chilling out on a Sunday Afternoon

Finally managed to get my arse in gear and went out for a nice Sunday lunch with friends. The weather was beautiful, in fact it was perfect! My friend Ellie brought her 5 week old daughter and as much as I wanted a cuddle and snap a few photos, she ignored us the whole time and went on her merry way to lala land. Oh well......

Afterwards, I went to the park hoping to find inspiration there and snap a few photos. It was all rush rush though as I needed to catch up with another mate leaving town then rush home in time to catch the RWC finals.

Roomie is not pleased that I opted to watch it at home instead of going out with them to watch it in a pub and of course celebrate an AB win. We were all sure they would win! Pretty close game though.

The jacaranda's are all in bloom and their purple flowers colour the skies of Brisbane. I was told the flowers would probably be gone in a couple of weeks so I had to take a photo soon or wait until next year. The park was full of couples and families just hanging out but my attention was caught by this lonesome guy who looked so chilled out with his book. I was tempted to forget my commitments for the day and do the same. Maybe next time. :)
