Everlasting Match

Ray Mears loves this sort of thing. On the left is the match, it replaces two boy scouts. Constructed from a small piece of wood, and two sections of hacksaw blade it will provide a spark under any conditions. Place tinder beneath it, stroke the removable section of blade over the fixed piece and very quickly you have a conflagration which would impress Samuel Pepys. Once used the removable blade is placed back in the small slot at the left hand end.
