High on a Hill.....

So today we made the trek into the Troodos Mountains where, so the guide books say, you can ski in the winter.

The drive was thrilling, It is single lane dirt tracks with passing places every 10 miles or so. The mountain is on one side and a sheer drop on the other, but along with the drop there are also stunning views.

We headed up via the Cedar Forest and drove up to Mount Olympos - the highest point on Cyprus at 1,952 metres

You will need to be brave to drive along the roads but you can take the time to enjoy the views and the small villages that you will drive through so it is well worth taking the time to visit
