Well!! - the Oban-Coll-Tiree CalMac ferry failed to land at Coll on Saturday due to the high winds (forecast 53 knots). It then sat out in the open water waiting for the winds to drop before landing in Tiree. The winds did not drop and the ferry did not land in Tiree!!
Those poor soles in the ferry thus spent almost 8 hours on the ferry before being returned to Oban from whence they first started!!!
Fortunately this meant a further day in the surf!!
This is one of hundreds/thousands of concrete blocks you find along the Scottish Coast lines - a remnant from the 2nd World War - anti-tank barriers made of massive reinforced concrete obstacles.
