Autumn colours

I cannot resist blipping the beech leaves as they change colour for autumn. Our house is called The Beeches and we have 2 beech trees and a large beech hedge. One of the trees is losing leaves rapidly and just looks insipid and poorly. The other, this one, is ablaze with golden leaves.

I have been practising using Smart Objects today and learning how helpful it is to be able to flip back to Camera Raw adjustments from Photoshop on a click. There is so much to learn about processing. I made two identical layers of this image and then processed them differently before combining them and masking out some changes in the top layer to obtain this effect. When I uploaded the lovely vibrant colours looked muddy - hmmm - not sure why - so here is the image with nothing more than levels applied. Fingers crossed.

Managed to clear out the bed of annuals, clip the euonymus bushes and start to tidy the garage.
