On the buses...

"Stop the world -- I WANT TO GET OFF...!!"

Jumped on the 7.45am to Swindon using our bus passes.(We`re VERY old.)

Jumped on the 9.05am to Oxford. Jumped orf again. "You can`t use yer pass until after 9.30am."

"But we`ve just used them to get here..."

"Sorry, old fella. Wiltshire council won`t pay Swindon on journeys before 9.30am."

"Bugger. That means we`ll have to hang around."

"Well. What you can do is pay the fare to get out of Swindon. Then your pass will kick in because Oxfordshire council will pay before 9.30am. Give me £5.80."

"WOT!!?"

My missus paid up an off we went. A `Mr Angry` letter to stingey Wilts council is in order methinks...
