Traditionally traditional

Finding out just what a different world this is. Is it traditionally traditional because they've always done it this way or because it works? So far it's fascinating, though frustrating. Trouble is I think I am still falling and haven't quite reached Wonderland yet. Nothing is what I expect. Love it.
