Intense.
Got ready for the scary job interview this morning. After spending last night going over possible questions, familiarizing myself with the job description and taking time to remember what my CV actually said, all I had to do was get up, have a shower and straighten my hair... oh and of course... I had to get dressed.
All went well until I realised that the rain that had been coming down with a vengeance overnight was still falling out of the sky at a great rate of knots. By the time I got myself from the car park into Ninewells the hair looked just as bad as it did before I started. Wild woman from the hills would just about sum it up.
Not surprisingly the interview wasn't scary at all. It was just that my inbuilt panic button had been well and truly depressed. Would I remember this, would I forget to say that, what if there was a question I hadn't thought of. Self doubt should really be my middle name. I may have appeared calm on the outside, but there was no way that feeling in the pit of my stomach was going to let up until it was all over.
It did though and I think everything went well. So headed out for a walk in the greyness when I got home. (Decided that, as my hair was already frizzed I might as well give up and let it do it's own thing until the next time I have to look posh). Was looking for a bit of colour in the trees to give me something of interest to take a picture of. Was completely astounded by the intensity of the light in this beech wood.
PS The little dog is better today. She had a good going fever yesterday. We think it's coming from a septic arthritis, but she was too sore and tender to examine properly. So the nice vet (who was on crutches himself) gave her a series of shots with painkillers and antibiotics. Back to see him again tomorrow....
