Slow News Day
Today we went to Oxford Street to meet someone really special - our friend Nibs. She is one of those people that isn't just like family, she is family, even though we are not related. She has an irreplacable spot in all our lives. We went to her office where her team showered Betsy and Al with Spongebob Squarepants stuff. They came home with t-shirts, vests, figures, puzzles, silly bands, even toothbrushes and toothpaste, all crammed into a rucksack and a bright yellow pull-along suitcase that Al dragged behind him all day. We went for lunch to Yo! Sushi, and her husband Nick also came which was a great surprise. I made Al eat a nori roll and it actually made him cry. The rest of the food was more successful and the children both loved taking it off the conveyor belts. I didn't blip Yo Sushi as that is what Betsy is doing today.
Instead I took this of Al on the train on the way back to Teddington. He is actually a very serious newshound under that Spongbob loving exterior ;)
Later we went to see our friends Lucy, Thomas, Georgia and Martha. Betsy and Al play more happily and harmoniously than with any other children we know. Not more quietly though.
Home to complete and utter chaos. I am now slowly adding to the stuff that should be in Betsy and Al's rooms but is spread about the house, with all the stuff from the kitchen. Not complaining though - will be amazing when its all done and as I am not doing it myself it will actually look good too.
