Opening
1. We head to the Station Bar for a post work pint and are instantly accosted by that very typical Glasgow barfly. It's a menacing mix of the mildly threatening and excessive chivalry. We escape unharmed and make a dash to the theatre.
2. I meet Karen at the Citz for the first night of their new show. Due to unforeseen technical problems, I am blipping this4 days late. Had I written this on the night I would have needed restrained. I've never wanted to leave an auditorium before the interval before. Although I hear at the post show talk that Joe Orton did just that in 1967 at the original so at least I am in good company.
3. Being a woman of principal, I stay for the free drink.
4. And move upstairs to the green room for more free drink which really sharpens my opinions and I am sure I express them eloquently and with flair.
5. Poor Karen. I'm sorry.
