A dark day of history

Today Oslo is dark and rainy, and an afternoon in with a book beckons.

Despite having studied this period of history for a year in my undergraduate days, I find myself poorly informed about Berlin and after our flying visit there yesterday, feel the need to reacquaint myself with its story.

This is a social history of Berlin during the war - something that is rare, and an angle I certainly didn't cover at university. Very interesting indeed, and a good way to spend a lazy day.
