Rays of sunshine

Ho hum. Another rubbish sleep from Ethan. Didn't manage to get him to sleep in his cot until 9.10pm and he only slept through till 4.50am. The tough love approach didn't happen this morning as it soon became obvious he had a very full nappy which needed immediate attention. After that, although I could get him to fall asleep while I cuddled him, he woke whenever he was put back in the cot. So by 6am, he was snuggled up with us back in our bed again.

As neither he nor hubbie then woke till 7.15am, hubbie didn't have time to do the nursery drop off before work. So I had to get up and take him, which meant I didn't get back to sleep at all and I didn't manage to nap again all day.

Foreveryoung, MrForeveryoung and Eden popped round to visit me late afternoon and stayed till after dinner time. Again, Ethan chose to sit in his high chair and he was a wee star. Although he didn't want his soup, he ate everything else and apart from a couple of restless moments, he stayed in there for ages.

For one reason or another we didn't try to put him to bed tonight till 8.30pm. He had a 5 minute screaming fit then went quiet and I assume to sleep which was much better than I had anticipated. Now to see how the night pans out.
