Lady in Red

- another tasteful ensemble from her apparently inexhaustible wardrobe.

I popped in to the local hall for a quick sneak preview (let's be honest, I was looking for a blip) of the art show (opens tomorrow) and ran into Norma (could hardly miss her in that coat). We looked for the brightest coloured painting in the room for a background. Lovely poppies, but they pale by comparison really.

Tricky light actually - a combination of those huge mercury vapour lights (which photograph green) and dozens of 'portafloods' (which photograph orange) - all bouncing in every direction off the walls of the hall, which are (a rather nice) sage green. Much tweaking of the white balance didn't altogether prevent the green reflection on her hair. The perils of being blonde...
