I shouldn't be allowed to have nice things...

...because I spoil them.

I love these mugs. Some friends of mine have had similar ones for quite some time and I've always enjoyed drinking out of them. So this year when I had a little money to spend following a birthday just a few months ago, I bought some. Four.

They are handle-less, but with a band of heat-resistant silicone around the middle so they are easy to hold and they are lovely to drink from.

I was pouring tea into this one for a friend today, when I noticed the chip and my heart sank. I switched the mugs around so I drank from the chipped one and I didn't comment, but I couldn't believe it. No idea when it happened.

My head says it's good not to be too materialistic, but most of me wishes I could retain my attitude to things whilst looking after them a little better.
