Driven to distraction

I avoid driving as much as possible especially at night but today I had no choice and have just returned from a 93 mile journey that, because of road works, accidents and congestion took nearly four and a half hours. At one point I gave up and decided to haev a go at traffic trails before re-joining the madness.
