The third bedroom

No garage, no loft - why we need a large garden shed.We've moved very little in the last decades and 'stuff' has just built up. I thought I did a lot of throwing out before we moved but it was rather depressing, when everything came out of storage, to find how much seemed to have survived. I had secretly hoped that the Decluttering Fairy might have been at work in the storage warehouse, but no such luck.

I watched a programme about young women wanting to become nuns. The silence, enclosed life and the celibacy had little appeal, but the renouncing of material goods, in the age of advertising, certainly had a certain attraction.
