Around town

After picking my mom and A up from the hotel we had breakfast at our flat. Later on we headed into town to show them around. My mom hadn't been to Dresden in years (I think she said something about 15 years) and was well impressed how much the city has changed in that time.

This photo shows some details of the old stables of the Dresden Castle (Residenzschloss). It is pretty incredible how impressive it all looks and how much effort was put into restoring all these old sites. Having never been to Dresden before 2009 it is hard to image that this castle used to look something like this in the 80s.
