Splish-splash

Yes, it's raining again. Today the Herault is on orange alert as 5.9 inches of rain have been forecast over yesterday and today. Nothing like that thus far so either we've been lucky or we're about to be drowned. Meanwhile the sky is heavy and grey and sombre and everything green is dripping. No dog-walking today I fear.

To be honest, I rather enjoy this greyness from time to time. It reminds me of those years spent in Durham and Scotland when the sun rarely shone and life was spent indoors with fires and stews and lots of good books. It definitely had its own romance ... for a little while at least.
