Village Cherries

Friend Chris invited me out for a walk today and I am very glad she did. After yesterday's miserable dank and dark and drizzly day, today was chilly but with bright sunshine so we did a circular route around Goit Stock and back through the village. These cherry trees are beautiful in spring when they are heavy with pink blossom, and you can see them here in full greenery in summer, but they are also resplendent in their autumn foliage at this time of year. They line the two main roads into the heart of our village.
