Faraglioni

Took a boat from Sorrento to Capri today.

Beautiful weather. Sun and 22 deg C.

Enjoyed a cruise around the island. We went through the arch in these rocks which the locals call 'lovers arch' - I missed the reason why.

Got excited about going in the 'blue grotto' but was wildly disappointed - mostly due to the extortionate cost (on top of the price of the round the island trip) for just about 10 minutes. We both felt a bit wobbly by then too as the sea-legs hadn't kicked in.

Capri town itself seems very exclusive - lots of designer shops and secluded private residences. Off the beaten track it was very pretty and peaceful. In the main square, however, it was busy and they charged 7 euros for a small glass of coca-cola! Mamma mia!!!

Another lovely day. Home tomorrow.
