You know what is funny or maybe sad? I rarely see merry go rounds like this anymore. The old one at my elementary school was ripped out years ago. Maybe because there are liability issues. But here I go sounding like an old man...back when I was a kid the whole idea of these things were to get going so damn fast that you WOULD be flung off. Lawsuits take away all the fun.
