This is what democracy looks like

So you might have read that the occupation is organised 'horizontally.' This means there are no leaders, and that decisions are made collectively via open discussion. Know any Quakers? That's how they do it too.

Consensus decision-making can take a long time to make, on the face of it, not very much progress. But time, its adherents would contest, is less valuable than the democratic process itself.

At this meeting, a point was raised that some felt that consensus was actually being rushed and decisions ratified too quickly.
