Fall...
... is a lovely time to go to places like Stowe Landscape Gardens.

Two main things done in editing to this shot. First of all, it was straightened as the original was kinda skewed - in Photoshop you can easily do this by going Filter > Distort > Lens Correction and then use the straighten tool there. If you select 'edge extension' then it fills in some of the area which would otherwise be transparent from twisting the shot and which is easy to tweak so that it looks natural after straightening. Then, converted to black and white using Silver Efex Pro and a custom preset I made which brightens the centre and gives a high contrast feel. Finally, a tiny bit of dodging around his left hand so that it stood out from the background...
And that was that! Flattened the layers and saved.
Tip of the Day:
I really like a good simple shot and the use of negative space is also kinda delicious. For some great black and white together with yummy negative space, then this is the article for you! Inspiration for a Friday.
