Dead Crooked
This evening we went along to Crookston Castle for Dead Crooked. It wasn't without it's troubles. We managed to make it half way there when LaLudette set off her amazing power to attract glass and thorns when on the trike.
LaLudette and the kids went on ahead whilst I tried to fix it at the side of the road. This would have been easy if the repair kit I bought last night actually had anything in it. When I opened it all that was in there was the empty packaging. Someone must have cleaned it out whilst in Tesco! I managed to rip off a previous patch, cut it in two and then use that to repair both punctures.
I got there just as the parade reached the castle so took the kids up into the castle for the storytelling. Or I would have had there not been far to many folk to fit into the place. We found a place out in the open where the kids were told stories about a step mother that killed her step-son, got her daughter to chop him up and then fed him to his father. Lovely.
I stayed behind with Nairn whilst the girls came home early. When we got back to the house I found that Erica and Greer had fell asleep under the duvets in the trike holding hands. Made up for them being a handful earlier in the day :)
