Gregynog Great Wood

Spent all day recording lichens in the old pasture woodland at Gregynog in Mid-Wales. A wonderful and magical place. In the 1980s the University of Wales (who own the site) apparently wanted to fell all the oaks and re-plant with Sitka Spruce. Thanks to the efforts of a few campaigners they were stopped.
