Leamington Lift Bridge

Just around the corner from me is Leamington Lift Bridge, which spans the Union canal here in Edinburgh.

It's a bridge which lifts itself up whenever a boat comes along.

It was refurbished a few years ago after having lain derelict for about 50 years I believe.

There is now quite a lot of pride in this stretch of the canal, and it's a fantastic asset for the residents of Edinburgh.
