Linlithgow Palace

Having a bit of a frantic day, Mum, Dad and my sister coming for dinner to celebrate my Dad's birthday and him retiring ... again! Spent this morning zipping round the shops, home again, made pavlova (looks good, if it comes of the baking paper ok we're in business!) and then nipped out to Linlithgow to collect my sis. Took Coco with us and had a fantastic walk by the loch and Palace. Spent many a day as a child running up and down the mounds and around the Palace. The Palace is really just a ruin but a fantastic place to visit - have taken the children armed with Princess crowns and knights swords and had lots of fun playing!

Home now, where everyone has done a fantastic job of helping tidy the house and preparing food - us girls about to make ourselves look pretty for later!
