Christmas is coming.

Almost two months still to go but you wouldn't know it from Harrods Christmas Shop which is already doing a roaring trade.

Say what you like, Harrods knows how to do stuff properly. The food halls held the most lovely of food but where has the fresh fish sculpture disappeared to? M took great pains to point out a rather splendid diamond engagement ring in case I should ever feel the need to buy her one. As always, we managed to walk through the perfume halls without being sprayed, no doubt looking as though we don't have two pennies to rub together. They have an opera singer performing live on the Egyptian escalators which must be a nice gig if you can get it.

We only spent an hour there, and an imaginary few thousand pounds, but I haven't been there for quite a while and it was nice to renew my acquaintance once more.
