Life On Mars

Bit of a random one this.

One of my colleagues (Alex) and I spent most of the day emailing each other stupid scenarios for dark science fiction films.

I saw this crane on the way home and after a (little) edit (:-!) thought it would make a perfect bit of artwork for one of the ideas we came up with...

The year is 2025 and the crew of Jefferson Starship Piper Alpha 28 are half way through their mission to build the largest rock venue in the Solar System - designed to stage a Prog Rock comeback concert that would encourage extra-terrestial life to make first contact.

But following nuclear war between the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight, the earth is destroyed and they are left alone to fend for themselves. They build a city on Rock and Roll (a type of Martian stone) and pass a number of idyllic years before the leader of the band picks up a strange recording coming from deep space.

As the signal gets stronger and the inhabitants prepare themselves for their visitors a darker evil awakens from deep beneath their feet.

Now I don't know about you guys but I think Michael Bay would be all over that one! You heard it hear first!
