White eyes.

I had a friend who, whenever he went out into the sun, would go distinctly pink around the the face but never 'tan'. The same would happen with excess exercise. He had that sort of skin. Just the way it was. What made it look strange is that the only part of him that didn't turn pink were his eye sockets, so he looked like he'd been on a sun bed with goggles on. Always amused me, but seldom did we say anything - he was a bit sensitive to it.

My daughter however, was at that age when she was unable to comprehend discretion or diplomacy, so the question "daddy, why are that man's eye white?" was a little too loud and public to ignore causing more than his face to turn a little red, only in his case, just accentuated the 'look' (excuse the pun). Popz always referred to him as 'whites eyes', unable to remember his actual name amongst all my friends she met over the years.

Well tonight, at 24yrs of age, she is off to a Halloween party and decided the eyes need to be white. Shame we won't see the full make up and regalia as she and her pals are getting prepared all together and going in a group. I can see that the journey 'made up' on your own would be more embarrassing than doing it as a group.

Oh well, will just need to wait for facebook pics to see the full effect of white eyes.
