No Speeding Giraffes....

...I couldn't quite work out why the 20mph warning sign was 18 feet up a pole, who's going to read it?....but then I checked and apparently Giraffes can run at 34 miles per hour. Sensible precaution really.

Giraffe feet are the size of a dinner plate -12 inches across
Giraffe have the same number of vertebrae in their necks as humans (seven)
A giraffe's tongue is 18 to 20 inches long and blue-black (popular with the ladies!!)

The giraffe has the longest tail of any land mammal They can be up to 8 feet long.
Giraffes do poos, which when stretched out, are the same length as their neck
