Naturally beautiful

Wonderful Saturday today, lots of very good photos, too! We ran through an extensive photo shoot under a theme of " A Lady in Red". Mostly bounced flash was used to convey the glamorous feel we aimed for. I wanted to steal a moment in the middle of the shoot to capture this natural light portrait in the staircase of our block. A huge thank you to my beautiful model!

Natural light does sometimes have qualities that seem to be impossible to produce artificially. Take this shot for instance. Light is flooding in through the window and yet the falloff in the amount of light is huge from one inch to the next. Here I especially like the effect it gives to her hair. This impact is even accentuated in black & white, so I got rid of all the colours.
