Emily's Christening.

As a follow-on from yesterday's blip, this is the moment the proud parents first saw their daughter's christening cake. As you can see from their faces they were delighted! A full image of the cake can be seen in my blipfolio under celebration cakes.
It's been a long day - delivered the cake to the church hall at 12.30 and helped decorate the hall and sort out the drinks and nibbles etc. quick break for lunch and a cuppa with the ladies of the choir before going into the church for the service which included a renewal of wedding vows and blessing of rings before the baptism, and Emily cried loudly for a whole hour!! this was followed by a 2 hour drinks reception in the hall and the ceremonial cutting of the cake, and ended the day with a lovely meal with 25 family and friends at a local restaurant - now totally shattered!
Thank goodness we get an extra hour in bed in the morning!
