The "S" Word!

So, here it is ~ our first snow fall of the season! And in late October, too. It's not unheard of but it is still rare that we have snow this early in the season ~ it isn't even Halloween yet!

R has been asked to do some photography at a local Historic house in Jacobsburg. So, despite the snow, we headed up there this morning before it got to be too much to drive through. Well, wouldn't you know they were closed because of the weather! How frustrating! But, on the way back home we stopped at a few places so that we could photographically record the falling snow. This beautiful home was one of those places.

Since the snow has fallen so early in the season many of the trees still have a lot of leaves on them. I can't tell you the number of times our power has gone out today because of limbs falling on power lines. We lost some tree limbs on one of our own trees as well. I hope this isn't a foreboding of the Winter to come.
