October
October...left the valley,
I saw her on her way.
Rustling in dry gulches,
And that was yesterday.
Creeping by the silver stream,
And going around the bend.
Knowing that her days on earth,
Were coming to an end.
Her face was lined with sadness,
Her face had lost its glow.
And in her troubled countenance,
She held her head down low.
No smile upon her tried to form,
She would not let it in.
Not even features on her face,
Would wrinkle in a grin.
October...dear October,
Your stay is tried and true.
Hear Ye All...come forward now,
And bid her...sweet adieu.
