Yeah-nah
My cuzzes say "yeah-nah".
A lot.
Cuz Sean reckons it originated in the sixties when folks were getting televisions and the
popularity of the Aussie Rules footie game exploded. Post-match interviews live on tv were introduced. These rural, provincial country fellas were suddenly expected to say something (all they were any good at was playing footie). When the interviewer had asked his question the interviewee would delay his answer not with an "uhmm" or an "ehh" but a "yeah-nah". 'Til he knew what he was gonna say.
"You reckon?!"
