Sunrise on the Ganges

We visited Varanasi, considered to be the holiest city in the world. On a sunrise boat ride we saw the ceremony of recent Hindu's ashes being strewn in the river, hundreds of oil lamps sent floating on the river in memory of dead loved ones, as well as people taking their morning bath in the holy water. Thousands of people line the river but the atmosphere is serene, which I thought was depicted in this picture!
