The glory of autumn

Down to river, just for a change! Parked car & opened door to put on boots and noticed heron on the far bank, thought great...if I am very quiet might get a blip this time, but no luck, after creeping along very slowly it saw me and flew off, did manage a shot but it is a bit blurred...maybe it will be 3rd time lucky someday

Wandered about taking lots of shots, settled on this one as think it shows up the autumn colours really well..the greens on plants and the moss on the trunk of tree and also on opposite bank......the gorgeous russet tones of the leaves......and also the river flowing by
