Blast from the Past!

And it's ALL TenorSong's fault!

She led me astray and took me to Henley's sweetie shop in the Gyle. to be fair, I should have known that it would end badly when I asked her where she was and she replied "heaven" and followed this up by sharing her rhubard and custard sweeties (see here) to tempt me into this den of iniquity!

So I emerged £10 poorer (plus of course whatever dentist fees occur as a result!) but high on sugar and full of nostalgic memories. And for my £10? Ginger tablet (divine!), chocolate nibb (memories of schooldays came flooding back), the amazing rhubarb and custard, and - drum roll - cremola foam. For those who remember this true Scottish delicacy, you will understand my excitement. For those who don't, I'm sorry, but please take my word for it - you don't know what you're missing.
