There is something homey about cooking with the kids. Mine love nothing better than making cheese sauce from scratch (courtesy of Nigella). One grates the cheese while the other mixes, careful not to get any lumps. Then ceremoniously tipping it all into the pasta it is served with a lot of noise and much praise to be devoured by all in its entirety. The only other food to come close to this level of satisfaction is grandads potatos!
Oh, the little black bits in the sauce are wholegrain mustard :)
