Church on Spilled Blood

Very brief visit to St. Petersburg. First time but hopefully not the last.

I think the name and appearance of this church are in strong conflict. It looks like it was built of gingerbread and cakes for fairy tale princesses but the name refers to the assassination of Tsar Alexander II.
