The long unwinding road

Back to normal today - dropped off with the dogs by my wife on her way to work - lovely walk saw 3 red kites - took a couple of photos but with my little camera they could be any bird.

There only used to be a couple of kites in this area but lately there seems to be a lot more - but I haven't seen any buzzards lately - maybe they don't get on. On the way back from Gatwick last week along the M40 corridor we must have seen at least 50 red kites.

Railway sleepers arrived today but I promised to do a bit of housework today so the outside projects will have to wait.

My daughter had a great time at Thorpe Park yesterday - picked her up from the railway station at 11.15 last night - she's worn her wonderwoman outfit to school today for 6th form halloween.
