Nobody Home

Another wet afternoon and evening - this was taken on Great Victoria Street in Belfast. A Blip from Doli in far away Australia had me thinking about this shop. Doli commented that many of the shops there had metal shutters closed at night and that unshuttered shops were becoming rarer. Of course, we in Belfast have had metal shutters for many, many years due to the risk of potential bomb damage, and on the insistence of insurance companies. It is therefore refreshing to see more shops here having lit window displays.

This was nicer in colour but I forgot to switch my camera back from monotone. D'oh!
