Day 14 - Madrid

Our last full day in Spain. We left Nerja this morning and drove to Madrid (6 hours). A few pics along the road.

After checking in our hotel, we took the metro (45-minutes and three-transfer ride) to the center of old Madrid. Imagine a warm Friday night in that place! Incredible. The highlight of the night was our supper in this old restaurant which has been in the same family since 1896. The owner talked to us all night and we got to visit his wine cellar. He offered us a bottle when we left and "promised" to look us up when he comes to Canada.

The center of Plaza Mayor is the geographical center of Spain.

One last thing: Back at the hotel, I realized that I had forgotten the lights on the car, the battery is dead, dead, dead. It'll have to wait 'til morning.
