Marathon Day

The 31st Dublin City Marathon carnival rolled into Ireland's capital city today with 14000 competitors representing 55 different countries. The weather was wet at times but reasonably warm at 14C and as a bonus we had a new course record of 2hrs 08mins 33secs. That's some shifting for 26.2 miles. Another win for the Kenyans (surprise, surprise!).
Having run this race 11 times in the distant past I spent the day fighting back many emotions. I wonder if I could coax the body into having just one more bash at it next year?
