Lady Sage Days

By LadySage

On my way home.

I took a detour to go through a village and couldn't resist this as I saw it through my windscreen. Luckily it was a quiet road so I could pull over and blip it.

Mum is looking a bit better but her dementia is affected by either the illness they say she has pneumonia (is it associated with the flu vaccination she had a week earlier?) or the fact that she's surrounded by strangers who are hurting her.

She is covered in bruises from her initial fall, the manhandling the paramedics had to do and subsequent errors when trying to insert a needle for tubes to be connected if needed as one was to begin with to feed antibiotics through to her.

She kept wanting and trying to pull the whole thing out and I was with her all night from 2am on Monday morning to about 2:30 Monday afternoon.

I went back this evening and had to wait half the visiting time while they settled her into her new bed on a new ward.

Still I was allowed to stay on after visiting finished as my presence calmed her down for yet another blood test.
