Non-witch cat
There were lots of guisers on the London streets this evening on my cycle home. One teenager complimented me on my hat, which I thought was quite nice. Then I thought that she might have thought I was dressed up, but no, this is my actual cycle helmet hat.
I had only one group ring our doorbell. In true London style, I pretended I wasn't in. I don't know any kids here! Earlier, as I was wheeling the bike to the door, I saw and heard a neighbour gently herding a group of trick or treaters out of his front door, saying "No, I don't give money." The last time I gave a guiser a treat, he gave it back to me with a puzzled expression. I thought it was a very good book and it even had a wizard theme. Ah well.
This evening I watched "Code-Breakers" on BBC's iplayer. It's extremely interesting - all about the secret work of Bletchley Park and a couple of characters who didn't receive the credit they deserved for saving millions of lives.
